The modernisation of our exhibition grounds is crucial if we want to remain competitive as a trade fair venue in the future. Exhibition centres in Germany – Nuremberg excepted – are investing more than €2 billion in the upgrading of buildings and infrastructure in the next few years alone. To keep pace with this fierce competition, upgrades to the Nuremberg exhibition halls, some of which are up to 40 years old, are absolutely essential. The construction of Hall 3C will provide the necessary cushion, which will ensure that on balance there will be no loss of exhibition space on our grounds during future construction projects, and ensures that the gross exhibition area of Exhibition Centre Nuremberg will never be less than 170,000 m˛ regardless of construction work.
